Goodbye Dog is about unconditional love, regret, and a lingering memory.
The pipeline was interesting in this film, the sound came first and then the visuals. Part of a project at The National Film and Television School where sound designers made a minute-long abstract soundscape and then the editor, Tommaso, and I developed a story from it.
The puppets for this film were made using basic wire armatures, fabric, modeling wax and plasticine. For the set, the production designer, Dominika Rakoczy and I, used poly, plaster and lots of magnetic slates of metal under the astro-turf so the magnets in the puppets feet could stay grounded.
